Frequently asked questions
Here are some common questions about Gridia and how you could benefit from using it.
Our optimization engine evaluates hundreds of design combinations using real-time market data and available products. By calculating the objective function (e.g., ROI or LCOE) for each design, we ensure that the top options are the most cost-effective and impactful.
Once the RFQ is submitted, distributors can offer even better pricing, further improving the project’s cost and performance. This process ensures that no better design exists within the available technologies and suppliers on Gridia.
No. Gridia’s algorithms use market prices from all distributors to simulate and compare hundreds of possible system designs. However, these prices are only used internally to identify the top three designs based on your selected objective (ROI, LCOE, Offset, or GHG reduction).
When a designer submits a Request for Quotation (RFQ), each distributor can respond directly to the buyer with their final pricing. These final prices are only visible to the buyer — not to other distributors or competitors.
Gridia is built on a mission-driven model. We aim to reinvest 50% of our profits into electrification projects in underserved communities.
By offering the platform at no cost to solar professionals, we encourage more transactions, which fuels a circular economy — one that funds clean energy access where it’s needed most.
Security is a top priority at Gridia. We follow industry best practices and use advanced encryption protocols to protect your data. Your information is never shared without your consent, and we continuously monitor and update our systems to ensure your privacy and safety.
